European Rubber Journal, the organiser of the Future Tire Conference, is putting out a call for papers for the annual technical programme, which takes place 30-31 May, 2018  at the Koelnmesse, within the Tire Cologne expo.




The conference will focus particularly on the impact of digitalisation and connected mobility on all aspects of tire design, manufacture and supply. Future Tire 2018 will bring together top-level experts and decision-makers from the tire and automotive industries to discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.


Present a Paper


Key subject areas of the Future Tire 2018 programme of presentations and panel discussions will include:

  • Strategies and technologies needed for success in the digital tire race
  • Industry 4.0: Linking smart tires to smart factories
  • The impact will autonomous vehicles on the tire industry
  • Technologies that are redefining the tire industry and its products, including data management, RFID, liquid mixing and advanced materials.

Papers will be selected on criteria that include:

  • Value of the paper to the industry
  • Originality
